New Years Eve!

Wow! I know I've said it a few times before, but it's true. 2019 has gone by so quickly! I still remember waking up with a whole new year ahead of me. If you were to ask me what year I loved most, I would have to say 2019. This past year has taught me so much. So many opportunities have opened for me.
But maybe it's been different for you. Maybe things haven't been so great, but tomorrow is a whole new day. Tomorrow is a new year! Tomorrow is the beginning of a new decade! Maybe God's plan for you will begin sometime in 2020. So don't be discouraged.
Anyway, I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year, and I will be praying that it brings a fountain of blessings! Always be sure that your number one goal for the year is to do everything Jesus asks of you.

He asked for just one thing

Oh my! I can hardly believe it's already Christmas Eve! This year has gone by so quickly. I'm a little sad that 2019 is almost over. It has been probably the best year I've had since I can remember.
The other day I was almost in tears, because I was thinking about the incredible things God has done for me. Though I turned against Him, He still loves me, and He chose to die for me in my place. Think about it. God could've decided to ditch us, and let us die with no hope of escaping Hell. He could've wiped us out and started over, like what He did in Noah's days. Instead, He one: decided to honor His promise to Noah of never making that happen again, and two: loved us so much to give us an eternity of second chances knowing that we would use every single one of them up, usually forgetting to apologize.

Whatever it takes

Just a quick reminder: For Jesus, whatever it takes. As you go through life, your daily routines, please remember these words. They have really meant a lot to me.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!

So a week or so ago, I was listening to music, and suddenly it hit me: why I get sick of songs when I listen to them millions of times over! To continue reading, you have to understand that I listen to music A LOT. Maybe not as much as others, but I'm very proud of my playlist. When I find an incredible song, I can't help but listen to it twenty times over before switching to another song. The unfortunate thing about that though, is that I tend to become sick of it all too quickly, so today is the day that I am going to publicly "discover" why.
Most of my songs are in English, which shouldn't be surprising. But a few of my songs are in Japanese! That probably sounds weird, but they have the best beat and are tons of fun to dance to.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO!!! 🎈🎂

Yes! It's that time of year. My oldest brother's birthday is today! I'm amazed at how old he is, but of course it seems like the years have flown by.
My big brother is the definition of a big brother. He seemed to always stick by my side, especially when I was little. 😂 I still remember all of those countless times when I felt "ganged up" on by our other siblings (even when it was my fault), and he would make me feel so much better, not quite agreeing with me, but just making me feel better. It definitely seemed like he and I agreed on everything when I was younger, or maybe I just looked up to him so much that I took his side on everything! ðŸ˜‚

The "A" in "Q&A"

Hey all! I have finally decided to post my answers for our Q&A. Thank you to everyone who has posted questions! I love them all.

1. What book would I say has had the most impact on my life and why?
I really love the book Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. The authors write in a way that captures your attention throughout the whole book, and it really motivates you to begin leading a inspiring life as a teen! Another book I really enjoy is called The Greatest Among You by Randy Sims, for the same reasons as Do Hard Things.

2. How do I come up with all of my topics to write about?
All of these quotes I find on Pinterest, and a lot of the music I find are given to me from friends! ;D I also listen to a lot of music.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! 🎈🎂

Oh my! I am so excited for this post! Today we are going to celebrate my wonderful mother's birthday! I'm sure most of you know my mom, but I doubt you know her like I do.

     She is...
Loving (even though I mess up... A LOT, she always loves me more)
Kind (even when I am not)
The real version of those imaginary mother's you always wish for (no really. She is!)
Hardworking (she never complains when I need her to take me somewhere or do something for me... which is everyday and more)

Lift others up!

"Do not judge. You don't know what storm I've asked them to walk through. -God." (-Unknown)
I tend to struggle with this a lot. I really try not to judge people for their mistakes or choices, but sometimes I find myself doing so. That is why this quote is so great, because it shows that God's got it handled. "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone at her." -John 8:7
Another quote I had found is: "Don't judge someone just because they sin different than you." (-Unknown) When you judge, are you saying your sin is better than theirs? Are you saying that God is more pleased with your wickedness than theirs? Yes. You are. It's what happens whether you intended that or not.

Simon Says

The other night, for some reason I was thinking of Simon Says and how it actually can be put into our lives. When "Simon says..." you have to do what he says. But when Simon doesn't say, you are out. This is a lot like how Christian's lives should work. When God says... you should do what He says. Don't go doing things when He doesn't say.
It's funny, a simple children's game can teach us this. Well, maybe it's not a children's game. Who says older people can't play? 😀
Anyway, I just thought this was kind of a cool way to think of life. When you're doing something that you aren't sure is right, just ask yourself, "Did God say?"

The "Q" in "Q&A"

I'm not sure if as many people are looking back at these posts as often as they did my first post, but I thought it might be cool to do a Q&A with me! 😃 If you are wondering something about me, please comment, and I'll make a new post to answer! And it can totally be just silly or serious or anything. I'll answer it to the best of my ability.
I hope to see lots of comments, but I completely understand if not. Christmas is coming up, and everything is just about to get hectic! Also, I think most of you already know me, so if you don't have any questions, that's okay too! 😉 Have a great day!

What's more important? Your comfort, or God's glory?

On Sundays, our church will rotate on preachers, so we get some different perspectives and great advice! I love how our church does it, because this way, I learn so much with the different styles and teachings.
Yesterday in service, I really learned a lot (thank you to the preacher!😉). Something that has been wandering my mind lately, is a "simple" question the preacher asked: "What's more important? Your comfort, or God's glory?" (And I hope it's okay that I post this!)
I don't want to damage this too much, but basically, the message was about how our life should be completely focused on God.
