Something productive

During this time of quarantine, you should have no excuse for not reading your Bible. There's no school, less job, no other activities. Even with all these things, there is still no good excuse for not reading your Bible. So why aren't you? You may be, but if you aren't, now is a very good time.
You should always have time to read your Bible, and if you don't, make time. Though right now, you don't need to make time. If you're like me, you have fourteen-ish hours in the day where you decide what to do. Surely you can spare thirty minutes of boredom to actually do something productive. And I'm not saying you aren't doing something productive, but if you're like me, you just aren't doing a whole lot of it, which is really too bad... but I DO read my Bible everyday which is something I am pretty proud of.

Go to the Bible

Yesterday, I was not feeling particularly happy, and nothing seemed to be able to cheer me up. I think that a lot of people right now are not feeling great either. My unhappiness was not because of the virus, but I think that for some people, it might be. But then I remembered those verses from Deuteronomy 7, so I read them, and that gave me a better look on things.
It is a good reminder that the Bible is a great source of encouragement. When confused and looking for answers, go to the Bible. God will give you what you need.

Psalm 73:26

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." -Psalm 73:26
Forever guys! We won't have to worry about tomorrow because God is already there. Follow him and he will give you strength. And though your heart may fail in this world, God is keeping it safe with him in heaven, if only you would give it to him.

Psalm 46:1

Did you know that the corona virus is just one more way to die? That is really the only reason why people are afraid of it - they are afraid that they might die, or their friends or family might die. But once they realize that there is a million and one other ways, then just one more way doesn't seem so scary. Though the corona virus seems frightening because it is easy to get, how many people have actually died from it? I haven't looked too much into it, but I've heard enough to know that more people have died from car crashes, or plane crashes, or just people being stupid.

One Day at a Time

"It doesn't really matter that I didn't choose this. All that really matters is how I'm getting through this."

One day at a time - Madilyn Paige

Guys, you ARE going to have terrible days. Days where you feel like you just want to give up. You may start accusing God, asking him why he brought this upon you. But complaining about your situation isn't going to change much.

When you feel... When you're facing... When you want...

Hi everyone! I hope you are all completely healthy, but if not, I'll be praying for you! The other day, I found something super cool in my bible and thought I would show it to you.

God is in control

Who here is afraid of the corona virus? Why are you afraid of it? I guess in a way, I could say that I am afraid of it. I don't much care if I get it, but I do fear for what might happen to others if they get it. In reality, I hear that the flu is actually worse, so it must not be very bad at all.
It may be easy to wonder why a loving God could let such a nasty sickness as this come and mess up a lot of things, but if you think about it, a lot of good could come out of it. Think of this as a new opportunity for God's glory to be shown to others. You can have discussions now that may not have happened if not for the sickness.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!! 🎈🎂

Another birthday! We celebrated it a few days ago, but that doesn't make this day any less special! Though another year has flown by, my dad didn't get a day older. What fun it is to have a dad who is and will always be young.
Do you remember when I had said that my brother is the second most patient person I know? Well my pops is THE most patient person I know. Because he thinks about what he is going to say before he speaks, I think I may have only heard him say "um" a couple times in my life. Even when talking on the phone!

Proverbs 3:6

Wow! Apologies for no posts for a while! I didn't know that so much... stuff was going to happen between now and my last post, but I hope all is well for you guys!
I just wanted to share a really quick verse that has helped me in my regular life and especially encouraged me this past week.
"In all your ways trust in him and he will make your path straight." Proverbs 3:6
Just another reminder that God's got you. If you trust and obey him, you will find peace. He'll wash all your struggles away, just like he's been doing for me.

Wherever you are

Hey all! I thought I would share another song with you. It reminds us that God is there even after all of our terrible sin.

His love

He came down to live with sinful creatures who nailed him to a cross. He died, and we laughed. He came down because he loved us and he didn't want to see us punished. Lord, give me love like yours.

Just a talk with God

You ever notice yourself hesitating to pray? Well not just pray but pray in front of people. When someone asks a volunteer to pray, does your hand immediately shoot up? And then when you are praying, are you talking to God or are you trying your best to make it sound smooth, like you're an expert at praying or something. Using big words and hoping you won't get tripped up, because... well... that would embarrassing, right? Turns out, it's not supposed to be embarrassing, and it's not required that you use big words or even make it sound smooth.
