On Sundays, our church will rotate on preachers, so we get some different perspectives and great advice! I love how our church does it, because this way, I learn so much with the different styles and teachings.
Yesterday in service, I really learned a lot (thank you to the preacher!😉). Something that has been wandering my mind lately, is a "simple" question the preacher asked: "What's more important? Your comfort, or God's glory?" (And I hope it's okay that I post this!)

I don't want to damage this too much, but basically, the message was about how our life should be completely focused on God.
We should never be afraid to worship Him in front of everyone. He should shine through us, and there's no way for that to happen if we remain silent all the time.
While singing praise in our "family bible hour", lately I've really been feeling God touching me and everyone else in the room. I remember all His blessings, and I can't even describe how thankful I feel at that moment. I can't describe what I feel! A lot of times, I just want to shout for joy and raise up my hands to heaven. But it's also at that moment when I am afraid of what others will think. When I raise up my hands to heaven, will people stare at me and think, "She's only doing that so we know she really does love God, and in fact while doing so, she doesn't actually love God."?
No! This is not what we should be thinking, and I really am trying to work on that. Jesus loves it when we get out of our comfort zone and just praise Him, because it means we don't care about what all the people around us think. We are completely focused on Him, and everything and everyone don't matter. Only He matters. No really! Only HE MATTERS.
So let me ask you again: What's more important? Your comfort, or God's glory?

I know the answer, and still, it's seems a little frightening, but that's what God is here for! Not just that, but we really can count on Him to be there for us when we are afraid! And for that, I am soooo thankful!
