There are worse things in life

"Everyday may not be good, but there is something good in everyday." (-Unknown)
Sure, it's easiest to be negative. To hate the day and all that is in it. Being positive is not my favorite thing, but if I want to enjoy life that's what I'll have to do. When bad times comes, I'm just going to have to remind myself that there are worse things in life. Yeah, that sounds really... positive and annoying, but it's necessary.
Whatever happens, God is right next to you, and that won't change and that's the biggest blessing you'll ever have. You won't have to endure anything alone.

Believing is seeing

I found this quote and thought I would share it with you all. It's kind of a different way to think about things.
"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." -C.S. Lewis
A lot of people seem to think, "Seeing is believing." I'm sure you've heard that a hundred times in your life, but why not switch the words around a bit to make, "Believing is seeing."? That probably won't make sense for everything, but it does for God. He will open our eyes to so many incredible things - things that we haven't even imagined.

Dream Small

Dream Small - Josh Wilson

It's not only the big things that count... but the small things... because the small things can become big things.

Nehemiah 9:5-37

Hey all! I want to suggest some super cool verses to read. I found them really encouraging and... convicting. 😬
     Nehemiah 9:5-37
If you get a chance to read these (I'm not sure I'll believe you if you say you don't have time...) let me know what you think! I hope they're an encouragement to you, and a reminder of what an incredible God we have!

Can't Live Without You

This is one of my favorite songs right now. I will admit, I didn't pay too much attention to the words until I decided to share it with you guys... and I realized it has amazing lyrics too!!
Have a great Saturday y'all, and put God first!

2 Chronicles 20:15

I came across a verse a bit ago and thought I might share it with you all.
"Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's." 2 Chronicles 20:15
       That is so true!
My battles are not mine. I am not the one who is going to fight, but God. And because of that, he is sure to be victorious. Not me - if I didn't fight, then I didn't win, so I don't get the victory. That should be obvious.
Maybe you haven't been winning many of your fights, and you're wondering why. Maybe it's because God isn't fighting it. Put the battle into God's hands, and your struggle will soon pass away. You're not really the one doing the work, that's God.

Why DID Jesus rise from the dead?

Happy late Easter! I'm sorry, I wanted to post this on Easter day, but didn't get around to it. I hope everyone's Easter was fantastic! Saturday, right before Easter, my family and I watched The Passion of the Christ. It's quite an intense movie, and most of it is true to what the Bible says. I would definitely recommend.
I've been thinking lately about a question, and I wonder if you guys might know the answer to it: Why DID Jesus rise from the dead? Did he have to come back to life?
      First of all... YES.
      Second, why?

What's so good about Good Friday?

Happy Good Friday all! I wanted to share a super cool video a friend sent me a few years ago. (Thanks friend! 😉) At first, you'll probably be a little confused and it's not going to be encouraging, but just continue watching it all the way through and you'll see why it's such an amazing video!

Be the sunshine

Just a quick reminder, "When you can't find the sunshine, be the sunshine." (-Unknown)
A lot of times, I try to find happiness in other people, or other things. When it's just not there, it's difficult to be happy. That's a good reminder that even though you may not be able to find joy in other places, that doesn't mean you can't be happy.

Continue to be thankful

How is everyone holding up? As for me, my life has gone from crazy busy, to... boring. Lately though, I've been trying to keep myself busy. Something that I'm super thankful for is that because of the virus, I get to spend a lot more time with my siblings! It has been difficult for me to adjust to my brother on the verge of leaving home, but because school is taking place at home, I get to see a lot more of him. I actually get to see more of my oldest brother as well! Even though he lives a few hours away, he is going to be staying around Boise at this time, since again, school and work are both online and he doesn't have anywhere to be.

Are you ready?

Dear fam,
Did you guys feel that earthquake yesterday? I just wanted to make sure y'all were doing okay. I'm going to be honest, I literally thought that Jesus had come to take us home during the earthquake. I was shaking and thought, Am I going to see God today!? Lord, please don't leave me behind! That might sound ridiculous seeing that I am still here, and so is every other person I know, and also it was a very small earthquake, but that's what I was thinking. After all, there has been some quiet talk of Luke 21:11, "There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven." Not that that is exactly what is happening now, but the virus was what had first caught my attention. I, of, course don't want to make any of you worry, but I just hope you remember that nobody knows when Jesus is going to return. It could happen any minute now. Or hundreds of years from now... we just don't know.
This is a big discussion and I only wish I had more time and faster fingers to lay out my thoughts completely, but this will have to do for now. I just hope you understand what I am meaning.
It made me think about something else too, and I hope it made you think too. Would I have been ready to go? I'd like to think I was. I'd like to think I am ready. And yes, I do believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and that is all it takes, but in truth, I don't want to go without accomplishing my #1 goal: to bring someone to Christ. I absolutely don't want to go knowing that I could've done or said something that would've brought them to Christ. I barely know more than five people personally who aren't Christians, but I know they are probably all around me and I have every chance to share the Bible with them. And that's why I started this blog! I wanted to do something for God, and this seemed like the best way seeing that I am still very young.
Fam, I want to see every single one of you in heaven one day. It would be terrible to have you read these things and they not tell enough to encourage you to become closer to Jesus. Yes terrible for you, but also bad for me too, knowing that I might've been able to do something. So I would like to ask you this question and I hope you will answer it at least to yourself within the next hour. There's not any time like the present, right? ARE YOU READY FOR WHEN JESUS TAKES YOU HOME? Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
Please consider these things and BELIEVE!

Your sister in Christ,
