2 Chronicles 20:15

I came across a verse a bit ago and thought I might share it with you all. 

     "Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's." 2 Chronicles 20:15

       That is so true! 

       My battles are not mine. I am not the one who is going to fight, but God. And because of that, he is sure to be victorious. Not me - if I didn't fight, then I didn't win, so I don't get the victory. That should be obvious. 

    Maybe you haven't been winning many of your fights, and you're wondering why. Maybe it's because God isn't fighting it. Put the battle into God's hands, and your struggle will soon pass away. You're not really the one doing the work, that's God.
That might be a little confusing, because aren't we technically the ones doing the work? I mean, if it was an actual battle with actual weapons and actual death, wouldn't it technically be us moving our arms, moving our feet, and all that? Then if our side wins, wouldn't it technically be our victory since we were the ones who fought? I mean, I didn't see God in the battlefield. 

       Okay so... NOOooo. 

      God is the one who gives us strength to keep on fighting. So often, we get discouraged and don't feel like moving on... but we do and eventually, feel back to normal. But don't you know, that God gave you strength to keep going? Cuz, he did. 

       We should never mistake the victory for ours. God does the real fighting - the background fighting - the fighting that really matters. Stay at his side, and he'll win for you. 

        Praise God because he will fight my battles and win!
