It's not our plan

"The greatest test of faith is when you don't get what you want, but still you are able to say thank you Lord." (-Unknown)
This has been difficult for me in the past. I think this is something we all struggle with. You may not get what you wanted, but you still have what you started with: Jesus. That is all we really need, so getting frustrated with something we don't need is useless. If God wants it to happen, it will happen.
I love this quote, because it reminds me of what I so often forget: that I have everything I need, and God has given me impossibly more! How can I say to God that He hasn't done enough for me when everything He's done is for me?

Most of us are probably not content with one thing or another, but when you remember that you're complaining to the one who has never forsaken you, you might think differently. Maybe we just get used to people promising something wonderful, and then forgetting us. But God is not like people. He has never forgotten us and he never will. It's interesting, we rely on Him for... everything: life, and yet still seem to not trust Him when He has a better plan for us than we could possibly imagine.
We have to remember that it's really not our plan. It's God's.
