"God will open new doors." Revelation 3:8
Just because some doors are closing doesn't mean new ones won't open. All we have to do is trust God, and He will show us the way. No need to become frustrated that things are changing. Personally, I really struggle with change, especially right now. Being the youngest child has some great advantages, but it also has it's disadvantages. Everyone around me seems to be growing up much too quickly, while I am still... here. But I just need to remember that God has His plans, and they are always better than mine. That makes the future so much more exciting!
Something I try to remember is when the "good old days" are over, new ones will come! Don't worry about change!
You may be comfortable where you are now, but that doesn't mean you won't become comfortable with your new routine. You could grow to love it even more than your old one!
Be careful when complaining about your age or stuff you can or can't do now. Later, when you come to the age you used to wish every day for and realize that its much more boring or exhausting then you had anticipated, then you'll think back to your previous days and realize how much fun you could've had. Instead you only complained. Careful what you wish for. God really does hear you. He really does answer prayers.
Change isn't bad, so we shouldn't complain about every stage of life. What God designed for you, it's all beautiful.

(*note: I just realized that when looking up Revelation 3:8 on the internet, it only says something LIKE what I put. I just found this verse on Pinterest though and assumed it was exactly what the Bible said. :O)

Yes, I agree with you! I find my self so often saying that my life looked much better a couple years back, but I have to realize that each year will be different and hold new opportunities. We all need a reminder that our past and future should not be dwelt on too much, but we should live in the present and see the opportunities God places in front of us.Thanks for posting!!

DeleteJasmine,
ReplyDeleteYou are wise beyond your years. I know change can be hard, but you are right that what God designed is beautiful, especially my precious beautiful daughter, Jasmine. You are truly a blessing in my life and in the lives of others. Please keep sharing. This reminds me of my favorite verse: Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and hope.
I love you.
