"...beautiful"

Hey all! 

     Apparently I have a lot of motivation for posting things on my blog. I doubted I would even post once a week, and so far I have three posts in just a few days! It's probably because of all your guys' extremely kind words of encouragement. My love language is definitely words of affirmation and ya'll have given me so much of just that! Thank you so, so much! I am truly overwhelmed by your kindness! 

     I'd like to share one of my favorite quotes: "Lord, you placed the stars in the sky, yet you call me beautiful." (-Unknown) 

     How does this make you feel? 

    The first time I read it, I was so... amazed at what such "simple" words can do! It made my heart dance! How can such an wonderful God even look at me without wanting to throw up in my face? I don't know if any of you care too much about the moon or stars (no judgement if not ;)), but to me, I could gaze at them for... a long time - not forever, but a long time. They're so beautifully built, and just plain marvelous to look at. Just think, God shaped every single star - probably around millions of trillions of stars out there - but still, he values our pathetic selves over them. I just can't get over how perfectly amazing it is. That's why this quote is so completely incredible to me. We've sinned so many times. Are the stars perfect? God loves us more. God loves US more. 

     How dare we complain about our looks, our personality, our traits. We don't have flaws in the eyes of the Lord. Only things that can make us STRONGER and more qualified for bringing others to Christ. If you have a "flaw" of boasting so much - too much, turn it around and start boasting about God! I encourage you to find a "flaw" in yourself and figure out a way where you can use it for God.

     He made us, and we should be content, grateful for how beautiful we are! Just go outside! Look at what God created. But God loves US for what He made us. Please don't try to be someone your not. Sorry to say, but THAT is ugly. "Your amazing, just the way you are" no matter what anyone tells you. Those "looks" that other people give you, they're not from God. If you realize your natural beauty and keep yourself away from all of those fake things, I can promise you that God will already be PROUD of you! I do keep my promises. ;)
